Committees

GIFA has seven committees that report to the Executive Committee as can be seen in the structure chart. The names of the committees and their chairs can be seen below.

  • Custodian

    Gregory McKenzie

    Chair of the Custodian Committee

    Gregory became chair of the Custodian and Depository Committee in 2018.

    He joined Northern Trust in 2013 and currently heads up the Custody, Depositary and Trustee business units servicing private and corporate clients of Northern Trust (Guernsey) Limited. He also holds a number of directorship and committee appointments across Northern Trust EMEA. Gregory has accumulated over 10 years experience within the financial services industry covering the fund administration, custodian and trustee sectors. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and the Institute of Directors.

  • Education

    Linda Ogier

    Chair of the Education Sub Committee

    Linda Ogier has over 20 years experience in the finance industry and is Head of Fund Administration Services for J.P. Morgan in Guernsey. Linda is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

    Linda has been a member of the GIFA Education Sub-Committee since November 2013 and was appointed chair of the Committee in June 2017.

  • Fund Administrators

    James Tracey

    Chair of the Fund Administration Sub Committee

    James Tracey is the Managing Director for JTC (Guernsey) Limited and also has a seat on JTC’s Institutional Client Services (ICS) Board.

  • Marketing

    Matthew Wood

    Chair of the Marketing & Events Committee

    Matt is a Guernsey based independent director with over 20 years of experience in financial services. Matt trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 with PwC specialising in banks and investment funds.

    Matt was previously a Managing Director of State Street’s Alternative Investment Solutions and then subsequently a Private Equity Director and country head of Sanne’s Guernsey office. Matt sits on the Marketing Committee of the Guernsey Investment Funds Association, is a member of the IoD and holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.

    Matt serves as an independent director on the boards of managers and alternative investment funds across diverse strategies. Outside of work Matt enjoys skiing, ski mountaineering and sailing as well as spending time with his young family.

  • NED

    Mike De Haaff

    Chair of the NED Committee

    Mike was employed by the Eurostep Group, an industrial and financial services group, until he retired from his role at the end of June 2014. Prior to that he was a Managing Director of Close Fund Services Limited until May 2006 having joined them from Rothschild Asset Management (C.I.) Limited in June 1985. He is a non-executive director of a number of Guernsey based mutual fund companies and investment companies based in Guernsey. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors, is a past Chairman of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association (“GIFA”) and acts as a consultant to GIFA.

  • Principal Managers

    Trina Le Noury

    Chair of the Principal Managers Committee

    Trina is a director of Fund Administration for Apax Partners, Guernsey having joined in 2012. Previously she was 2nd Vice President, Private Equity and Fund Accounting Company for Northern Trust, Guernsey.

    She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction.

  • Technical & Compliance

    Haley Camp

    Chair of the Technical Committee

    Haley has worked in Guernsey’s finance industry since 2001 and specialises in the corporate secretarial, establishment and ongoing technical needs of complex fund and fiduciary structures across a wide range of asset classes.
