GIFA Academy Event – An Overview of the new AML Handbook

The first Academy Event for 2020 is scheduled for Thursday 16th January to be held at Les Cotils commencing at 12.30pm and can be booked here.

This is always a hot topic so should be of great interest to Members. The presentation from Neil Duquemin will provide a comprehensive overview of the requirements of the new Handbook and will cover:

  • The roles and responsibilities of the Key Persons, i.e. MLCO and MLRO;
  • Critical dates by which business risk assessments and policies and procedures are to be updated by; and
  • Next steps for ensuring that CDD documentation held is updated in line with the requirements of the new Handbook.

For over 20 years, Neil Duquemin’s career in the finance industry has focused almost exclusively on AML / CFT matters. He has served as Money Laundering Reporting Officer for a significant number of licensed entities across the banking, fiduciary and fund administration sectors. Prior to joining Redwood, Neil spent over ten years in law enforcement with Guernsey’s Customs and Immigration Department, including attachments to HM Customs.
Neil is our expert on Sanctions and is highly regarded for his AML / CFT training sessions.
He holds post graduate Diplomas in Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance (ICA) and is an affiliate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
